Okay, so here are the first sketch card. I'm kinda wishing I took on more. So that way I could afford to screw up a couple ;p
Anyway, it don't suck, but I do hope the rest of 'em come out better.

hey hey its a monkey

Hi everybody, long time no post.
I just finished this quick monkey sketch, and I thought it was kinda cool. But then, monkeys always are.
And why the polo you ask? Well, natually, any discerning, self respecting monkey, worth his salt in bananas, wouldn't be caught dead without his polo shirt on. Pants? yeah, still working on that one :P

Steelheart WhatsHisName

I haven't posted in a while on the Silverhawks. So here is the latest. I was working on the Steelheart brother, I forget his first name, and I started to wonder what his helmet might look like. I had given him this great big collar so it seemed fitting that he would have a big dome helmet. I also wanted to make sure that he had some kind of covering for his arm. I know its normally not an issue, in the Silverhawks universe, but I thought it might help balance out his giant fishbowl helmet head.

smudge&smear

So I recently painted this head for the bronze boy on the Silverhawks team. But when I was working on it I tried something new. I used this custom brush in photoshop which just looks like four dots stacked on top of one another (i included a pic of it in the image if the painted head). But what I did was I used this brush just to smudge my edges to get a smooth edge on one side of a stroke while keeping the hard egde on the other side. Also it just helped to roughly indicate edges instead of sharply defining them. As you can tell, I was totally stoked about this. So anyway here it is. More to follow on the Silverhawks saga soon...

Well, I thought I'd mix it up a bit and sketch a knight. Just for fun. We'll see how it turns out...

Silverhawks: the four

Well, I've roughed out the SteelHeart Siblings, and I just coudn't wait to see what the line up would look like. So here they all are. I still have to do that bronze mime kid, but honestly, who really ever liked that character anyway :P just kidding. He's on the way.

Hi Everybody, Well, this is something I actually did a lil' while ago. But I wanted to make sure that I kept on posting. It was originally for a robot project that I was working on at work, but I didn't get this one done in time. So now its just an extra sketch. Thanks to Chris B. on this one. His robot was much better and its why I tried to incorporate more elliptical surfaces - for power up indicators. Anyway, hope you like. CO.

Silverhawks: In Progress

Hi everybody,
So this one is just for fun. It may take a while to finish, but I think I'm really going to enjoy this. I've decided to redesign one of my favorite cartoons from the 80's, the Silverhawks. In case if you need a refresher course on them you can find all the info you'll need here at:

But the basic gist of it is that they're a cyborg team. So far I've only gotten to the leader, Lt. Jonathan Quick. This is the basic sketch with some ruff colors thrown down. It'll be full color when I'm done. Hopefully that won't be too long of a wait.

Heres a concept sketch that I had worked on a while ago. It was for this kid that I decided, for whatever reason, should be wearing a bandana. 'Cuz bandana's are cool-or something...
Whatever, I just like his shoes..
